The Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company Ltd

An international forum for interior design professionals, Decorex 2005 will stage the launch of Gainsborough's first collection dedicated to the 20th century. Named 'Soliloquy', the collection takes its inspiration from the natural motifs, sumptuous colour and stylised glamour of Art Deco.
A dramatic collection of the finest pure silks, Soliloquy is based on original designs dating from the late 1920s. Striking in their bold use of colour and abstract style, the 100% silk fabrics lend themselves equally to a modern or period scheme.
'Jacaranda', 'Camellia' and 'Saffron' are stunning examples, which exemplify the unique style and theme of the collection. An extravagant display of abstract design, Jacaranda captures the exuberant spirit of the period.
Reflecting the period's fascination with metallic colours, Camellia contrasts Rhubarb and Ivory in a decadent floral display. A more delicate design, Saffron in Ivory creates a shimmering, metallic effect with its detailed floral repeat and complex weave.
